The Sea Otter Classic Foundation is a 501c Non-Profit, which grew from the success of the Sea Otter Classic, the premiere biking event in the world. Athletes, both professional and amateur, race at Laguna Seca or on the hills of Fort Ord or through the streets of Carmel Valley. This magnificent setting on the Monterey Peninsula has attracted over 71,000 fans during the 4 day event. Our volunteers number nearly 1500 and are essential to the success of the event, as well as other community events, such as the Big Sur Marathon.
Our mission is to be like support vehicles for riders.
- We provide support and inspiration for our local youth, our military, and our larger community.
- We present school assemblies on the excitement of riding and the importance of healthy lifestyles.
- We assist returning military and injured veterans.
- Finally, we partner with different community organizations, such as local Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs, Y.M.C.A., and C.S.U. Monterey Bay.
